BGM, a Top 200 full-service accounting, tax, audit, and advisory firm headquartered in Bloomington, Minnesota, announced a merger with R. L. DePanfilis & Company, LLC, a certified public accounting and business consulting firm, the company said Monday. The deal marks a deliberate push by BGM to establish a stronger presence in the northeastern United States.
The acquisition reflects a broader consolidation trend sweeping the accounting industry, as mid-size regional firms seek scale to compete with national players on service depth and geographic reach.
