Bold Penguin Opens AI Exchange Infrastructure to Carriers and Brokers
Bold Penguin has launched DeX ai, exposing its Digital Exchange intelligence to external partners via APIs, MCP servers, and agent-to-agent connections.
Columbus, Ohio-based insurtech firm Bold Penguin has made the artificial intelligence layer powering its own Digital Exchange available to insurance carriers and brokers, the company announced Sept. 24, 2026. The product, called DeX ai, gives outside partners programmatic access to the same intelligence infrastructure Bold Penguin uses internally.
The launch centers on three integration pathways: application programming interfaces, a Model Context Protocol server, and direct agent-to-agent connections. The approach is designed to let carriers and brokers embed Bold Penguin's exchange intelligence into their own workflows without rebuilding core logic from scratch.

The commercial insurance technology sector has seen growing demand for interoperable, AI-native systems capable of connecting disparate quoting and binding workflows. DeX ai's agent-to-agent connectivity option is notable in that context, as it enables automated systems to communicate directly rather than routing through human-readable interfaces.
