Kraken Parent Payward Links With Singapore Gulf Bank for Round-the-Clock Settlement
Payward integrates SGB Net for instant institutional settlement in Asia and the Gulf, with Kraken Prime added as a liquidity source.
Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, has formed a partnership with Singapore Gulf Bank to deliver around-the-clock settlement capabilities to institutional digital asset clients, the companies announced from Sydney on Oct. 4, 2026.
The integration centers on SGB Net, Singapore Gulf Bank's real-time clearing network, which allows institutional counterparties operating in Asia and the Gulf region to finalize transactions at any hour without waiting for traditional banking windows to open. The move addresses a longstanding friction point in crypto markets, where settlement delays have complicated treasury operations for large-scale participants.

The partnership reflects a broader push by regulated financial institutions and crypto-native firms to bridge legacy settlement infrastructure with digital asset markets. Continuous, real-time clearing has become an increasingly cited priority among institutional investors who demand the same operational reliability in crypto that they expect from conventional financial markets.
